I'm now 5 years+........ and, according to 'The Guide'..., I should be looking at maybe 3 to 6 month intervals! However, I find that anything up to a month is fine - I just ensure that I can spare an hour to let the muscles remember what they're supposed to do! Usually it's every 2 weeks'ish.... because it's fun - with some oscillating 'perspex'!

Ouch! I'm err... (has to think) 15 years post-op and was told weekly for life. I find in practice leaving a date with my plastic pal is okay for about 2 weeks, infections not withstanding. I guess advice has changed over the years.

Whilst not per se "the same" I've had life experiences lending me heartfelt- and felt somewhere else- empathy. Yeppers, Dilating an opening tends to be an experience of "You should have remembered ME sooner- and PAIN's the reminder..."

Then again-I had a giggly chat with someone who allowed as she had a love hate relationship with dilation pains. As it made her feel both masochistic and damage concerned in equal parts..
