It had to be Watchtower, didn't it?
So Kara has a head person, who is almost certainly HeadDaniel, with the obvious implication that Daniel is her father, and she's a Cylon/Human hybrid, like Hera, who also has "All Along the Watchtower" hard coded into her hybridness. For added effect, Anders, who played AAtW on Earth is now apparently plugged into The Force, along with the Basestar hybrids, the head people, and apparently Kara and Hera. Interesting stuff.
I'd assumed that Galactica was going to go down in a blaze of glory defending the fleet from the Cavil faction, but perhaps it goes down in a blaze of glory trying to rescue Hera? Whatever must Cavil want with her? Surely the final five, for their knowledge of resurrection technology, and the satisfaction of torturing them to get it, would be more appealing for him? There's not much left of the story now, but it still feels like we have a way to go before the fat lady starts singing (in the opera house, naturally).
For some reason though, the idea of Kara having a head person just fills me with squee. Just please don't let Baltar be her half brother.

Also, don't forget the Presidents apparent death at the end of the episode.

Date: 2009-03-01 09:10 am (UTC)Seeing as Starbuck was playing the music Hera gave her, does that mean Hera will grow up to replace Daniel in the models of Cylons? Despite everything I'm not sure what value Hera has for Cavil. Maybe he reckons the fleet will chase after Boomer and Hera and he'll wipe them all out and the Final Five will be forced to help him rebuild the Resurrection Hub, maybe he thinks that Hera will somehow show him how to reproduce the icky human way. I tend to think this is more Boomer's plan for revenge on the human race that she's not a part of rather than Cavil's, but I dare say the Galactica writers will go the opposite way and deny Boomer full agency next week.
And is this the first time on TV ever where someone has shagged someone who is an exact physical duplicate of their spouse/partner and not felt a sense of wrongness and realised they weren't the partner? I was assuming Helo would realise Boomer wasn't Athena and she would have to batter him unconscious too, but then maybe he'd already had the injections to dial down his intelligence for Dollhouse.
