Meet My New Friend!

Imagine my delight when I see this turn up in my inbox this Sunday lunchtime:

How truly nice it is to be wanted, but I have no idea why the sudden interest. The S'onewall awards are coming up soon and perhaps they've nominated her for one of their awards for services to canapés again. We don't actually know as they've decided not to publish the list of nominees this year, which was probably easier than going to all the trouble of adopting some sort of pesky anti-transphobia stance in public.

As for the 3 mutual friends, at least two of them are trans activists of my personal acquaintance, presumably keeping tabs on her or something - whatever, *clickety click*. There - ignored.

So, what about those cis-women that raped and killed other women, that are housed in *gasp* women's prisons?

Actually, shouldn't have bothered mentioning this, as clearly logic has no place in her world.

They don't exist. Don't you know that women can never rape? They're rendered incapable of it by virtue of possessing The Magical Vagina. Or so I've heard.

And men who rape and murder men and are put in a men's prison...are ok cos men deserve it? Or something?

Men are always oppressors and women are always victims, and any man who is in prison must automatically be a terrible person who deserves to be raped and murdered.

Or something. I don't live on Planet Bindel.

In English law, that's almost true. See <a href="http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/content.aspx?ActiveTextDocId=820909>Section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003</a>.

Logic is a tool of Teh Patriarchy.

It must be, because it's a tool.
