A Novel Question
Sep. 10th, 2010 12:59 amSo I'm in my local tonight, having a drink. At the bar, the subject of me being a local councillor comes up, and the guy standing next to me asks, "Did you used to be the mayor?"
Assuming he was thinking of whom I think he was thinking of, that's quite possibly the most indirect and creative way someone has ever asked if I'm trans.
I was actually more amused than irritated.
And one day I do actually hope to be mayor of Cambridge, by the way.
