I'm in a relatively privileged position compared to many trans people. I'm fortunate enough to have a body which is read is my identified sex even when I'm naked.
Having said that, this article from the BBC about "full body scans" at airports is really creeping me out. At least they're currently optional, and as long as they remain so then the choice between having some unseen security officer peering at a grainy snapshot of me sans-clothes, and being patted down in a nice visibly public area where anything that's inappropriate would happen in full view of other staff and passengers, then it's an absolute no-brainer.
The only risk now though is that I'll be thoroughly creeped out by the gross and rather seedy invasion of privacy such a machine represents. Four years ago ... well, I'd rather not think about that. I have friends who are in that situation, and they don't have that luxury though.
