Like Shooting Puppies With a BB Gun
Jul. 25th, 2009 09:55 pmEvery so often, one of my wisdom teeth (the lower left one) decides to make a bit of a nuisance of itself. It always settles down after a few days, and so I just use a bit of mouthwash and wait for it to settle.
However, since our US trip, the self same tooth has been grumbling, and putting pessure on the gum, and putting pressure on the tooth next to it. I've given it a couple of weeks to STFU, and it hasn't. As of tonight, it has become agonisingly painful, and I'm applying with Corsodyl every few hours (to kill any bacteria - it seems to help), and have just taken maximum dose ibuprofen for it. Still, it's agony, and it's getting worse.
I'll call my dentist on Monday. Pretty sure the tooth is impacted, so I suspect my third general anaesthetic in 3 years may be about to happen, and I may lose the molar next to it.
Arse.
Also, ow, ow, ow!
