They also gave me a cup of tea. I reckon I'm still over 300 millilitres down on the deal though.
ETA: It took me 17 years to do that. In theory one can give 3-4 times a year, but in practice various things get in the way like going abroad (can't donate for X months afterwards, depending on country), illness, getting penis cut off, that sort of thing.
