I frequent a few IRC channels. One is for transgender-related chat. Every so often the delightful specimen of humanity known as the "Tranny Chaser" pops up. The ones who come onto IRC channels are generally very easy to spot as they tend to be functionally illiterate, have no clue how to communicate with another human being (especially one they may stand a chance of being physically attracted to), and desperate.

They all seem to be like this, more of less. What surprises me most is the apparent assumption that it's not immediately obvious to anyone with two neurons to rub together and start an idea what they want.
